North West's appearance has sparked debate on international news sites and social media. Many comment that North's style is not age-appropriate, especially since she has not yet reached her teenage years (13 to 19 years old). According to US calculations, Kim Kardashian's daughter will remain 12 years old until her 13th birthday on 15/6.
Born in 2013, North West is the eldest child of Kanye West and television star Kim Kardashian. After the couple divorced in 2022, North and her three siblings live with their mother but regularly see their father. As Kim Kardashian is the primary caregiver, many suggest she influences her daughter's aesthetic choices.

However, Kim supports her daughter's freedom to dress as she likes. On the "Call Her Daddy" podcast in October 2025, the 46-year-old billionaire revealed that North has learned to ignore criticism, praising her daughter's maturity and confidence. Kim also stated that she strives to balance setting boundaries with encouraging her children's creativity.
"My daughter listens to me. But in some matters, I will react by saying, 'If you want to dye your hair blue, go ahead and do it'. That makes her happy. I will never take away her creativity," she said.
In a September 2025 interview with Complex Style, Kim described her daughter as having a unique style, adding that North has taught her much about fashion through self-expression. "North introduces me to many new brands. She only likes what she likes. It's exciting to see someone so creative and self-aware," she added.
