At the Canh Dieu Awards ceremony on 15/1, Ngoc Huyen was honored as promising actress for her role as Ha An in the series "Cha Toi Nguoi O Lai". The actress stated the award is a great encouragement for her, a newcomer to acting.
Ha An marks Ngoc Huyen's first lead role after four years in acting. She portrayed two stages of the character's life: at 16 and around 22-23. In the initial episodes, the actress garnered attention for her youthful, innocent high school student portrayal. She mentioned striving to create a distinct interpretation compared to the original Chinese series' actress, with director Vu Truong Khoa encouraging her to relax and express genuine emotions.
Before venturing into film, Ngoc Huyen studied Psychology at Hanoi National University of Education, pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher. During her student years, she took on part-time jobs, including photo modeling, and was known as a "pedagogy hotgirl" or "uniform hotgirl".
After graduation, she gained wider recognition from a photoshoot, leading to several film casting invitations. The actress recalled her first audition, feeling overwhelmed by the cameras and the crew's gaze, which made her cry. Gradually, she encouraged herself to persevere and explore her capabilities.
Initially, Ngoc Huyen viewed acting as a playground for new experiences and connections. In her debut role as Jun, Bao's girlfriend (played by Quang Anh), in "Nhung Ngay Khong Quen" (2021), she portrayed a capricious and jealous character. Despite limited screen time, the actress attracted attention with her bright appearance and natural expressions.
Ngoc Huyen matured through two films: "Mat Na Guong" and "Gara Hanh Phuc". In "Mat Na Guong", she played Mai, Hoa's paternal half-sister (played by Luong Thu Trang). Mai was initially an innocent, carefree girl. When family troubles arose and a "ghost" appeared in the house, she constantly lived in a state of panic and fear.
Participating in a long-running project for the first time, Ngoc Huyen expressed feeling pressured due to her limited acting experience, even frequently being scolded by the director. She anticipated both praise and criticism when the film aired. Regarding audience comments about her subdued performance, the actress stated she listened to all feedback.
As Van in "Gara Hanh Phuc", Ngoc Huyen's acting showed significant progress. Unlike her previous bubbly and energetic roles, the actress transformed into a psychologically traumatized girl, withdrawn and afraid of strangers. Initially, director Bui Quoc Viet did not believe Ngoc Huyen was suitable for the role but still allowed her to audition. According to the actress, during filming, she had to take medication to reduce stress. She once felt the character Van was beyond her capabilities but viewed it as an opportunity to change her image.
Artist Thai Son, who played Ngoc Huyen's foster father in "Cha Toi Nguoi O Lai", commented that she has a sincere way of expressing emotions. Behind the scenes, Ngoc Huyen is eager to learn, frequently discussing scenes with him to achieve the best takes.
The actress believes her acting journey has been smooth, with many people offering assistance. Her decision to change careers also received family support. Initially, her parents wanted her to become a teacher for a stable life. However, recognizing Ngoc Huyen's new direction and serious pursuit, despite concerns about their daughter's hardships, they facilitated and supported her emotionally.
According to Ngoc Huyen, her life became more vibrant through artistic activities. Previously, she was trained in a pedagogical environment, living a structured life with few social connections. As an actress, Ngoc Huyen meets many people and experiences things she had never done before. Additionally, knowledge from her academic field greatly aids her acting, helping her quickly grasp character psychology.

Besides acting, Ngoc Huyen continues photo modeling and filming commercials. She often shares work-related information but keeps her romantic life private. Last year, she surprised many by marrying actor Dinh Tu. They met while co-starring in the film "Dung Noi Khi Yeu" and dated for two years. At their wedding in early 11/2025, Ngoc Huyen stated that when she fell in love with Dinh Tu, she felt she could truly be herself and gained a companion to explore the world.
