On 21/2, in the list of poorly-received works and individuals announced this year, the live-action "Snow White" project and "War of the Worlds" each received 6 nominations. The worst film category also includes "The Electric State", "Hurry Up Tomorrow", and "Star Trek: Section 31".
Directed by Marc Webb, the film is based on the original Grimm fairy tale, following Princess Snow White (Rachel Zegler), who is orphaned. She grows up living with her stepmother, the Evil Queen (Gal Gadot), who later plots to harm her.
The project largely adheres to the spirit of the 1937 animated version, though some details were adjusted for a modern feel. The script aims to portray Snow White as a strong, proactive character seeking her own happiness. However, despite these creative intentions, the plot development is unengaging. According to the New York Post, while the original film was a milestone for animation, this new version is bland and lacks a valuable message. The production team transformed the classic tale into an adventure incorporating feminist elements, a motif already common in many recent projects.

Rachel Zegler faced backlash for being cast as Snow White, a character traditionally described as having "skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as ebony". The screenwriters addressed this by having the princess born during a snowstorm, which inspired her parents to name her. Still, many viewers expressed dissatisfaction with the casting, arguing the new version "ruined" the character's established image. Furthermore, supporting characters largely served as mere background for the protagonist, receiving limited screen time and lacking meaningful character development.

The Golden Raspberry Awards, or Razzies, are annual awards established in 1981 to ridicule the year's cinematic failures and actors. Members pay a fee to vote, though organizers do not require them to watch all nominated films. Historically, stars such as Bill Cosby, Sandra Bullock, and Halle Berry have personally accepted their awards.
Organizers state that over 1,100 film enthusiasts, critics, and journalists from the United States and 20 countries voted on this year's nominations. The 46th annual event will take place on 14/3, one day before the Academy Awards. The worst film award is a gold-plated trophy valued at 4,97 USD (130 thousand VND). Last year, "Madame Web" received this award.
