Stars flock to Thailand to cheer on Huong Giang at Miss Universe

Chi Pu, Diep Lam Anh, and Erik brought banners to Thailand to support Huong Giang in the Miss Universe 2025 final.

On the afternoon of 20/11, singer Chi Pu and mister Pham Tuan Ngoc arrived in Bangkok. They prepared to watch Huong Giang compete in the Miss Universe final, scheduled for the following morning. Tuan Ngoc stated that work commitments delayed his departure compared to some friends. Recently, the three became close after participating in the reality show 'Hang Xom Moi' (New Neighbors).

Chi Pu and Tuan Ngoc wished Huong Giang calmness for the best possible outcome in the final round.

Over the past two days, singer Erik, Diep Lam Anh, runner-up Mai Ngo, transgender beauty queen Ha Tam Nhu, designer Nguyen Minh Tuan, content creator duo Ninh Anh Bui - Nguyen Tung Duong, and a series of popular TikTokers, including Long Chun, Viet Phuong Thoa, Vien Vien, Call Me Duy, Be 7, Duong Quoc My, and Thay Beo U40, also arrived in Thailand. They came to boost Huong Giang's morale. Singer Hoa Minzy spent 264 million VND to gift Huong Giang 50,000 points in a voting category during the final stretch of the competition.

Audiences from everywhere sent messages of support to Huong Giang.

Watching the national costume round and the semi-finals on the evening of 19/11, the group energized the atmosphere with flags, flowers, horns, and drums. The beauty queen's parents and some relatives were also present.

"Everyone instilled confidence in me to move forward, helping me forget all pressure and fatigue. The journey at the competition is nearing its end, but the love I have received will last forever", Huong Giang said.

Late evening on 17/11, Huong Giang returned to her hotel after a day of practice. In the contestant accommodation lobby, many fans waited to meet and give her gifts. Holding a flag and wearing a conical hat (non la), the transgender beauty posed for international media cameras and expressed emotion mixed with pride.

Fans created an energetic atmosphere while supporting Huong Giang.

Valentin Tran, President of Miss Universe Vietnam, was present with fans to provide encouragement to Huong Giang before the important competition night. "Having followed Huong Giang for over two weeks at the competition, I feel reassured and somewhat proud of her performances. I hope Huong Giang advances far, so that the name Vietnam resonates on stage as many times as possible", he said.

Huong Giang received affection from the audience before the semi-final night.

Over the past three weeks, Huong Giang drew attention from domestic and international media as the only transgender contestant in this season. She arrived in Thailand in late October and quickly joined the competition. In the latest rankings by Missosology, beauty experts ranked Huong Giang 18th. Before the final, Huong Giang entered the top three for the Beyond the Crown category (Meaningful Social Project).

The 74th season of Miss Universe, themed 'Beyond the Crown' - More than just a crown, began in early November. However, controversies regarding organization and internal leadership conflicts within the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) led audiences to perceive the competition as unprofessional. Many contestants withdrew due to poor health or personal reasons. Currently, 120 beauties are continuing their journey to conquer the crown. Miss Victoria Kjaer Theilvig of Denmark will crown her successor in the final, on the morning of 21/11, broadcast exclusively on FPT Play.

Miss Universe, first held in 1952, is one of the most-watched beauty pageants globally, with 165 countries and territories purchasing broadcast rights.

In recent years, the competition changed many rules, aiming for diversity, honoring not only external beauty but also women's courage and healthy lifestyles. Since 2023, the Miss Universe Organization has accepted married women and mothers as contestants.
