Actor Doan Thien Chieu, 62 years old, shared his journey with his wife through one of life's greatest challenges. On 12/4, HK01 reported that at the time, the actor was at the peak of his fame, enjoying a busy work schedule and numerous career opportunities. This success stemmed from his role in the "Khu Ta Diet Ma" film series (also known as "Toi Co Hen Voi Cuong Thi"), which aired from 1998-2004.
The actor's life changed abruptly when his wife, Teresa, who works outside the entertainment industry, received a cancer diagnosis. Upon seeing the test results, Doan Thien Chieu felt shattered. "At that moment, I drove home with tears streaming down my face, unable to see the road", the actor recalled.

Despite the devastating news, Teresa remained calm, encouraging her husband to stabilize his emotions. They embarked on a long treatment journey together. Doan Thien Chieu immediately stopped all his work to personally care for Teresa in the hospital, deeply concerned about her well-being.
To save money on parking and toll fees, Doan Thien Chieu avoided driving a car. Daily, he walked to the metro station, then transferred to a bus to reach the hospital.
When Teresa's condition became critical, the actor knelt and cried, praying to exchange his life for his wife's well-being. Doan Thien Chieu stated that only when his wife was in pain did he truly understand her importance to him.
Thanks to diligent treatment, dedicated care, and an optimistic spirit, Teresa's condition improved. For 20 years, her illness has been controlled. The actor expressed his joy, saying, "Now, just seeing her smile happily makes everything feel very sweet".

Doan Thien Chieu admits he has many shortcomings and is grateful for his wife's compromises and silent support during their 27 years of marriage.
Doan Thien Chieu grew up in a poor family and joined the film industry in 1982. He was highly praised for his acting in both leading and villain roles. The actor created a sensation with many works, including "Thien Tam Bien" (1993), "Tinh Vo Mon" (1995), "Nam 97 Rong Doi Mau", the three-part "Khu Ta Diet Ma" (starring with Van Yi Van), and "Bach Bien Ho Ly" (starring with Luong Tieu Bang).
