Young Singer's Passion for Art Shines Alongside My Tam at National Day Celebration

Seven-year-old Ha Thuy Tien, who sang with My Tam at the 80th National Day celebration, has been nurtured in music and dance from a young age.

At the September 2nd ceremony, young Thuy Tien joined singer My Tam in a memorable performance. Together they sang, "The Vietnamese army marches, united to save the country. Their footsteps resound on the long, arduous road." These lines, excerpted from the iconic "Tien Quan Ca" (composed by Van Cao) by musician Pham Hong Bien, evoke a sense of national pride familiar to every Vietnamese person from childhood. Both My Tam and Thuy Tien sang with a simple, heartfelt sincerity that captivated the audience in Ba Dinh Square and those watching the live broadcast.

The video of their performance has garnered over 13 million views and tens of thousands of shares on My Tam’s fan page.

Her father, 32-year-old Ha Van Bao, said that when they noticed her singing talent, they enrolled her in singing classes at artist Dinh Lan Huong's art center. "Thanks to her teacher's dedication in nurturing her potential, she has made remarkable progress," he said.

Ha Thuy Tien comes from a family where her mother is a dancer and her father is a hairdresser. From the age of 3, she accompanied her mother to classes and showed a natural inclination for singing and dancing.

With the support of her vocal coach, Thuy Tien has been invited to perform at numerous events and television programs produced by the national broadcaster. According to artist Dinh Lan Huong, her 7-year-old student is intelligent and has a strong musical sensibility. Thuy Tien's stage presence shines with innocence and charm.

Before being chosen to sing at the National Day parade, Ha Thuy Tien had performed at several major events: The 80th anniversary of the People's Police Force, the 20th National Security Protection Day (August), and the "Nguoi la Ho Chi Minh" event (May).

Her father explained that after she finishes school each day, he takes her to the singing center. "My wife and I want our daughter to focus on her education while also developing her artistic talents. If she has the potential to pursue a career in the arts, we will support her, whatever she chooses," Ha Van Bao said.
