The kiosk system, operational since June 24, integrates modern features. These include patient registration using chip-embedded citizen identification cards or VNeID accounts, facial recognition, and biometric authentication powered by artificial intelligence (AI). The system connects directly to the National Population Database through the VNeID platform and C06 – Ministry of Public Security.
Additionally, patients can make cashless hospital fee payments using dynamic QR codes and check health insurance information online. The system also supports paperless re-examination registration through facial recognition technology. Patients complete the entire registration process via self-service.

Dr. Ngo Duc Tuan, Director of Dong Nai General Hospital, stated that the kiosk system empowers citizens to complete medical examination registration procedures quickly and conveniently, reducing waiting times. The system also helps alleviate pressure on the reception area, optimize human resources, enhance management efficiency, and increase transparency in medical examination and treatment activities.
The "paperless medical examination" model, utilizing biometric identification, frees patients from needing to carry personal documents or health insurance cards for re-examinations. This also ensures accuracy in patient information verification.
Established as a small medical facility in 1902, Dong Nai General Hospital has undergone several name changes and upgrades. Today, it stands as the largest hospital in Dong Nai city, boasting modern equipment and facilities. Daily, the hospital handles approximately 3,500 outpatient visits and treats about 1,200 inpatients.
Dong Nai General Hospital currently features 28 clinical departments, 10 paraclinical departments, and 11 functional rooms. The hospital employs approximately 1,700 staff members, including over 380 doctors.
