The Scientific and Technical Conference, an annual medical event initiated by Saigon Medical Group, aims to share research achievements, update advanced technologies, and disseminate international medical standards in Vietnam. This year's conference, themed "Modern Technology, JCI Quality," featured numerous discussion sessions throughout the day, attracting over 300 domestic and international healthcare experts.

The US-based Joint Commission International (JCI) is a globally recognized organization that accredits healthcare quality, particularly hospital quality, focusing on patient safety and effective treatment. JCI accreditation signifies that healthcare facilities adhere to stringent procedures, emphasizing patient safety, treatment quality, and effective hospital management.
All six JCI-accredited healthcare institutions in Vietnam presented at the conference: Vinmec Healthcare System, FV Hospital, American International Hospital (AIH), Phuong Chau International Hospital, Blood Transfusion Hematology Hospital, and Cao Thang Eye Hospital (part of Saigon Medical Group). Nick Liew, JCI's International Manager for the Asia-Pacific region, also presented.

According to the organizers, with the participation of numerous experts, doctors, and medical staff from various specialties, the 2025 Scientific and Technical Conference served as both a forum for knowledge exchange and a platform to promote the message of "Patient Safety and Dedicated Care." Patient-centered care and ensuring safety in all care processes are core values that all JCI-accredited hospitals in Vietnam are committed to.

A highlight of the conference was the recognition of Cao Thang Eye Hospital. In 2025, the hospital achieved its sixth consecutive JCI accreditation, setting a record as the eye hospital with the longest continuous JCI accreditation in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
This achievement demonstrates Cao Thang Eye Hospital's prestige and sustainability, affirming its leading position in improving healthcare quality to meet global standards.
