City international hospital brings joy to Phuoc Thien orphanage

City international hospital (CIH), in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City health science association, organized a charitable visit to Phuoc Thien orphanage in Phan Thiet on 16/8.

The visit was part of the hospital's "Happiness of sharing" 2025 charitable program, aimed at bringing joy and encouragement to disadvantaged children. The delegation included Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, president of the Ho Chi Minh City health science association, vice president of the Vietnam - Japan friendship association of Ho Chi Minh City, and head of the tissue cell unit at Pham Ngoc Thach University of medicine; Dr. Tran Quoc Thanh, CEO of City international hospital; and CIH leadership, staff, and medical professionals.

Dr. Tran Quoc Thanh shared that every child is born to parents and grows up in their loving care, a natural right every child should have. Visibly moved, he said, "These children are less fortunate, having never experienced the love of parents. We pray that all children are born with equal happiness."

The visit left lasting memories for every member of the delegation. *Photo: CIH*

In preparation for the trip, the organizers collected donations and mobilized sponsors, including staff, members, and medical personnel, to bring joy to the children. The delegation was touched by the children's stories. Some children excitedly held their hands, some were shy, and others were overjoyed to receive gifts.

A memorable moment for the doctors and medical staff was embracing each child, talking with them, and checking on their well-being. They understand that health comes not only from medicine but also from care and love.

For the City international hospital staff, this charitable activity was not just a humanitarian gesture but also a chance to reflect on the mission of the medical profession: the responsibility of caring for health combined with compassion for the community.
