Hoan My hospital system achieves international ACHSI accreditation

The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHSI) has accredited all 15 hospitals and three clinics under the Hoan My Medical Corporation.

This makes Hoan My Medical Corporation the first private healthcare system in Vietnam to achieve system-wide ACHSI accreditation. The corporation announced this achievement on 17/9 in Ho Chi Minh City, with representatives from the Ministry of Health, the Departments of Health of Ho Chi Minh City, Ca Mau, and Dong Nai in attendance. Also present were Ms. Louise Cuskelly, CEO of ACHSI, and Mr. Jonathan Saw, Trade and Investment Counselor at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission.

Speaking at the event, Associate Professor Dao Van Sinh, Head of the Ministry of Health's office in Ho Chi Minh City, said Hoan My's investment in infrastructure, staff training, process standardization, and continuous quality improvement helps share the burden on the public health system and strengthens public trust in private healthcare services. On behalf of the Ministry of Health, he expressed his hope that Hoan My would maintain and enhance the achieved quality standards and share this model with other healthcare facilities. "Hospitals and clinics nationwide, both public and private, will see this as an example and motivation to strive for international standards, aiming towards the common goal of improving healthcare quality and patient safety from the outset," Associate Professor Dao Van Sinh said.

"Achieving system-wide ACHSI accreditation is a proud milestone for Hoan My and a foundation for maintaining our 'patient-centric' commitment, prioritizing quality, treatment effectiveness, and patient safety," said Ms. Huynh Bich Lien, CEO of Hoan My Medical Corporation.

ACHSI is an independent accreditation body that certifies healthcare facilities meeting requirements for safety, clinical effectiveness, and continuous improvement. These standards align with the quality guidelines of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health.

Hoan My partnered with ACHSI in August 2023, standardizing processes, training staff, and upgrading infrastructure to meet the required standards. By November 2024, seven facilities received accreditation. The remaining 11 completed their assessments in August 2025.

Ms. Louise Cuskelly, CEO of ACHSI, stated that all ACHSI standards aim to ensure patients receive care in a safe, effective, and empathetic environment. "Hoan My's system-wide accreditation demonstrates a deep understanding of and commitment to applying the highest standards of patient care," she said.

Since its establishment in 1997, Hoan My has focused on providing quality healthcare services. The corporation continually invests in equipment, infrastructure development, and attracting experienced doctors, nurses, and medical staff. Currently, the system, with over 5,000 professionals, serves over 5 million patients annually.

Ms. Huynh Bich Lien stated that Hoan My will maintain a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and strict adherence to both domestic and international standards. "We are committed to continuous improvement, innovation, professional development, and rigorous monitoring to ensure compliance with quality standards for better patient care," she said.

The Hoan My system currently operates under the brands Hoan My, Hoan My Gold, Hanh Phuc, and Thuan My to meet the diverse needs of the population. The corporation expects this system-wide international accreditation to strengthen patient trust and enhance the quality of private healthcare services in Vietnam.
