Long Chau and Omron launch home healthcare solutions

Long Chau Pharmacy and Vaccination System partners with Omron Healthcare to offer a range of home healthcare devices.

According to the Ministry of Health, cardiovascular diseases claim approximately 200,000 lives annually in Vietnam, accounting for 33% of all deaths. Most cases are linked to risk factors such as hypertension, lipid disorders, and diabetes. Early detection and timely intervention could prevent 80% of deaths caused by heart disease and stroke.

Home health monitoring using accurate, genuine devices plays a crucial role in mitigating risks and improving quality of life. Long Chau is actively collaborating with international partners to provide comprehensive healthcare solutions. On 20/8, Nguyen Bach Diep, Chairwoman of FPT Retail and General Director of Long Chau Pharmacy and Vaccination System, hosted and signed a strategic partnership agreement with Omron. The Japanese delegation included Ms. Okada, President and CEO of Omron Healthcare Co., Ltd; Ms. Kuriyama, Executive Officer and Senior General Manager of Product Planning Strategy; Mr. Masanori Matsubara, Managing Director of Omron Asia Pacific; and Mr. Joe Huang, General Director of Omron Healthcare Vietnam.

This agreement marks a new milestone in the long-standing relationship between the two companies, expanding their collaboration to create a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem. It enables people to access treatment, monitoring equipment, and preventive measures directly through Long Chau pharmacies.

Omron manufactures products according to international standards, rigorously tested by competent authorities. With professional advice from Long Chau's pharmacists, people will learn how to use these medical devices correctly and effectively.

The partnership focuses on raising public awareness about using genuine medical devices. Both parties highlighted the risks associated with using devices from unknown sources: inaccurate readings can lead to misdiagnosis and mistreatment, potentially missing signs of serious illnesses.

Ms. Okada, President and CEO of Omron Healthcare, affirmed the company's commitment to providing Vietnamese families with access to the best home healthcare solutions. This will contribute to early detection of potential risks, particularly cardiovascular diseases, a major concern for the community.

"With the support of 2,222 Long Chau pharmacies, we believe our medical technology can reach millions of Vietnamese families, encouraging individuals and their loved ones to take proactive care of their health. This aligns with our long-term goal: a healthy, sustainable, and happy Vietnamese community," Ms. Okada said.

Nguyen Bach Diep, representing Long Chau, shared this view, stating that every family deserves the best products and services. "This strengthened strategic partnership with Omron reaffirms Long Chau's commitment to its mission 'For a Healthier Vietnam'. It's a place where people not only find genuine medications and healthcare services but also reliable home healthcare solutions," she said.

Long Chau currently offers a full range of Omron devices, including the Omron Hem-7530t blood pressure monitor (for home blood pressure monitoring and stroke risk alerts), nebulizers (for respiratory care and managing chronic conditions like asthma and bronchitis, beneficial for both children and the elderly), and more.

"This collaboration goes beyond simply providing consumers with genuine medical devices. It aims to encourage families to proactively manage their health, prevent risks, and build a foundation for a healthy and sustainable life," representatives from both sides emphasized at the conclusion of the signing ceremony.
