The program runs until 9/8 (excluding Sunday) at three CarePlus branches in TP HCM: Nguyen Thai Binh ward, Tan My ward, and Tan Binh ward.
Long Chau cited Ministry of Health data indicating that Vietnam records 26,418 new cases of liver cancer annually, representing 14.5% of all cancer cases. Of these, 77% are men, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) accounts for 90% of cases.
Vietnam has the 5th highest liver cancer mortality rate globally. This statistic underscores the disease's danger, as it often presents no noticeable symptoms in its early stages and is typically diagnosed only when it has significantly progressed.

To promote community health and awareness, Long Chau and CarePlus are providing these free screenings to help people detect abnormalities early, enabling timely intervention and reducing the risk of serious complications.
The program targets adults, middle-aged and older individuals, and high-risk groups (those who consume alcohol regularly, have underlying health conditions, elevated liver enzymes, or persistent fatigue and loss of appetite).

"We are striving to provide simple, free, and accessible screening solutions to empower individuals to protect their liver health, reduce the risk of liver cancer, and contribute to a healthier community," a Long Chau representative added.
Previously, the company implemented various health screening programs in several locations, focusing on diabetes, hypertension, chronic diseases, and cancer. These initiatives have been well-received by the public, raising awareness about disease prevention and encouraging regular health check-ups.
