The event coincided with Sene Dolta (a filial piety ceremony) of the Khmer community, with the participation of provincial leaders and representatives from various departments. Around 4,000 residents from four communes—Tra Con, Ngai Tu, Tap Son, and Long Hiep—received free medical examinations and medication.
Residents received general checkups including pulse and blood pressure measurements, internal medicine and dermatological examinations, and health consultations, followed by medication dispensing. When necessary, the medical team conducted ultrasounds, electrocardiograms, rapid blood sugar tests, and X-rays to detect and address any health issues promptly.

At the event, Nguyen Thi Be Muoi, Provincial Committee Member and Vice Chairwoman of the Vinh Long People's Committee, stated that the activity enhanced the significance of the Sene Dolta festival, fostering unity and gradually improving the quality of life for policy beneficiaries, the elderly, and those facing financial difficulties.
"The program alleviates some of the difficulties faced by ethnic minorities and those in rural areas who lack access to healthcare services. It helps them understand their health status and raises awareness about health maintenance. The activity also supports local authorities in implementing social security initiatives," Ms. Be Muoi said.
Sharing this view, Prof. Dr. Ho Thi Thu Hang, Director of Vinh Long Department of Health, described the activity as humane, reflecting the care of the Party, State, provincial government, health sector, and participating units towards the community, especially those in need.
Dr. Thu Hang emphasized that the program's primary goal was to provide medical examinations, consultations, and help people understand their health status. It encouraged individuals to pay attention to their well-being and that of their families. Health is the most valuable asset, enabling a joyful life, productive work, and contributions to society.
"For the health sector, these mobile health checkups provide insights into community health, informing the development of more effective and sustainable healthcare solutions," Dr. Thu Hang explained.

On behalf of Long Chau, Ngo Quoc Bao, Senior Director of Communications and Customer Experience, expressed gratitude to the provincial leaders, Vinh Long Department of Health, and participating units for facilitating the company's involvement. During the checkups, residents also received assistance with integrating their health records and health insurance information on VneID.
"Long Chau hopes to contribute to extending healthcare access and bringing modern treatments closer to the Vietnamese people. Meeting the Khmer community in Long Hiep commune today reinforces our commitment to unity and community health," Mr. Bao said.
Beyond medical expertise, Long Chau promotes awareness about healthcare among the Khmer community, encouraging proactive disease prevention and early screening.
The health checkup activity in Vinh Long aligns with Government Resolution 282, which implements Resolution 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthrough solutions to enhance healthcare for the population.
