According to a July 1 announcement, the Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV) discovered the violation during an inspection of Hyunjin C&T International Co., Ltd. (Hanoi) on 19/5. This company is responsible for distributing the product in Vietnam, while Hyunjin C&T CO., LTD (South Korea) is the manufacturer.
The DAV has requested local Departments of Health to notify businesses to halt sales and use of the product and return it to the supplier. All violating products must be recalled.
In addition, authorities have revoked the product's cosmetic notification and temporarily suspended the review and acceptance of new product notifications from the company for six months, effective 30/6. Any licensing applications submitted before this date are now void. After the suspension, the company must submit new applications to re-register its products.

Desembre Derma Science cream is advertised as a high-frequency massage cream that helps break down fat, relieve muscle tension, promote blood circulation, balance skin moisture, and prevent skin aging. The product is sold on e-commerce platforms for over 1 million VND for a 1,000 g jar.
Experts warn that products with incorrect formulas may contain unsafe ingredients, increasing the risk of adverse reactions and reducing health benefits. Substandard products are particularly dangerous as they can cause irritation, allergies, long-term skin damage, and potential toxicity from absorption of harmful substances through the skin.
Recently, the Ministry of Health and local health authorities have uncovered numerous violations at production and business facilities, leading to the recall and destruction of many counterfeit and substandard drugs and cosmetics.
During a recent intensive inspection campaign, the DAV conducted surprise inspections of 38 facilities and found 17 in violation. Concurrently, 20 provinces and cities inspected 865 manufacturing, import, and trading establishments, identifying 48 violations.
