Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung, Head of Dermatology - Aesthetic Dermatology Unit at Tam Anh General Clinic, District 7, assessed Ha's skin as having moderate aging. This presented as reduced collagen density in the dermis and a weakened superficial muscular aponeurotic system supporting the skin. Her cheeks and jawline were slightly saggy, evident when she smiled. Shallow wrinkles appeared around her eyes, and fine lines around her mouth were visible when she wore makeup. Her nipples also appeared dull.
According to Dr. Dung, postpartum, especially for women over 30, skin often enters a "transition" period with many early signs of aging. Hormonal changes, frequent late nights caring for children, stress, and limited self-care time cause skin to quickly become loose and less elastic. This leads to deeper smile lines and wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes. Dryness, dullness, and melasma also appear more easily.
To ensure safety and avoid affecting health or childcare, doctors recommend aesthetic technologies. These include HIFU ultrasound, SUPERB, RF microneedling, non-invasive laser, or IPL light, which can be applied early for postpartum women. These treatments help restore firmness and improve pigmentation without extensive restrictions.

Ha received treatment using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology combined with hyaluronic acid (HA) injections. She also used restorative, anti-aging skincare products. HIFU creates thermal coagulation points at 60-70 degrees C, causing immediate collagen fiber contraction and stimulating fibroblasts to regenerate new collagen and elastin. Depending on the treatment depth, HIFU can improve shallow wrinkles and tighten pores (1,5 mm depth), firm the skin (3 mm depth), and lift and reduce sagging by targeting the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (4,5 mm depth).
After the treatment, Ha's skin became firmer, her jawline tightened, her nasolabial folds faded, and her face appeared younger and more contoured. Her dry skin condition significantly improved due to HA injections combined with proper care as advised by the doctor. For the dull nipple area, the doctor used pico laser treatment to break down melanin, brightening the skin.
According to Dr. Dung, in addition to applying skin rejuvenation technologies, women also need to nourish their skin from within. This involves maintaining a balanced diet rich in vitamins and antioxidants, getting enough sleep, limiting stress, and incorporating gentle exercise. Individuals with sensitive skin, or those who have been pregnant and given birth, should have their skin condition accurately assessed by a dermatologist - aesthetic dermatologist before undergoing any technological treatments, to ensure a suitable personalized regimen.
