Nurse discovers crash victim is her boyfriend

A nurse on her way home from work stopped to help at a crash scene, only to discover the trapped victim was her boyfriend.

Around 12:50 a.m. on 6/9, a white Mitsubishi SUV crashed into a power pole on the median strip of Highway 347 in Ayutthaya Province, central Thailand, Khaosod reported. The impact destroyed the entire right side of the vehicle, trapping the 42-year-old driver inside. Rescue crews used hydraulic cutters to free him.

An emergency room nurse, just finished her shift at Ayutthaya Hospital, happened upon the scene. She stopped to assist and, upon seeing the driver’s face, burst into tears. She recognized the severely injured man as her boyfriend, who had been driving ahead of her just moments before.

Witnesses said that despite her immense grief, the nurse performed CPR on her boyfriend and accompanied him in the ambulance to the hospital. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

The tragic story, reported by Khaosod, has garnered widespread sympathy online. "It's hard to imagine the pain. My condolences. May his love continue to guide and comfort you. Peace be with you," one commenter wrote.

Another shared a similar experience: "The trauma must be terrible. I hope you don't develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I also found my husband after a roadside accident. I had to stay calm and take things one step at a time. Now, even riding a motorbike makes me anxious."
