After welcoming their first child in 2011, Luong Thi Hoai Linh, 38, and her husband from Hanoi, yearned for another child for over a decade.
In 2017, they sought consultations at various fertility clinics and were diagnosed with secondary infertility due to the husband's low sperm count. This was the silent obstacle preventing them from having a second child.
Linh underwent three IVF cycles, each involving numerous tests, egg retrievals, embryo creation, and transfers. Each transfer brought hope, followed by the heartbreak of early miscarriages.
Despite the emotional toll, Linh placed her last hope in a personalized treatment plan at the Hong Ngoc IVF Center in Yen Ninh, and a miracle happened.
Doctor Nguyen Hong Hanh, MD, a clinician at the Hong Ngoc IVF Center, personally consulted with Linh. Recognizing the complexity of Linh's case, Dr. Hanh focused on identifying the reasons behind the previous IVF failures.

Dr. Hanh explained that while multiple IVF failures can be discouraging, they don't eliminate the chance of parenthood. The key is to pinpoint the underlying cause hindering conception. After examining Linh, Dr. Hanh discovered a chromosomal abnormality. Consequently, after embryo creation, they screened for the healthiest embryo.
Only one healthy embryo met the criteria for transfer. Following the procedure by Dr. Hanh, Linh received the joyous news of a successful pregnancy. Dr. Hanh provided continuous support throughout the entire process, from consultation and egg retrieval to embryo transfer and pregnancy monitoring.
"I thought I would never become a mother again," Linh shared, reflecting on her 10-year journey and three prior IVF failures.

According to Dr. Hanh, IVF is more than just a fertility technique; it's about perseverance and finding the right treatment plan. "Linh's family exemplifies the rewards of persistent hope, culminating in a beautiful, healthy baby," Dr. Hanh added.
