According to a post on X on the evening of 14/9, RT reported that Murashko helped a male passenger experiencing a hypertensive crisis on a flight to Hanoi.
Three hours after the Moscow - Hanoi flight took off, a man experienced a hypertensive crisis, prompting the flight crew to request emergency medical assistance. Murashko, who was on an official visit to Vietnam, quickly responded, providing first aid and monitoring the passenger's condition for the remainder of the flight until the plane landed safely.
The video shared by RT shows a male passenger lying down. Next to him are Murashko and several flight attendants. The 58-year-old Murashko was appointed Russia’s health minister in 1/2020. He has years of experience in healthcare management and previously headed Russia's Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare.
A hypertensive crisis is a sudden, severe increase in blood pressure, typically 180/120 mmHg or higher. It is a medical emergency requiring immediate intervention as it can cause serious damage to vital organs and even lead to death.
