On 31/1, Ha Noi City Police announced that its Economic Security Department, in coordination with market management forces, discovered 12 tons of food products. These products were found in three containers gathered on Vu Lang street, Thanh Tri commune. This action took place during a high-intensity campaign against food safety violations leading up to the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

The owner of the shipment, estimated to be worth over one billion VND, is Hoang Van Chuc, 64 years old, residing in TP HCM. At the time of discovery, Mr. Chuc could not present any documents or invoices to prove the origin of the products.
Authorities deemed the goods unsafe, citing "serious violation signs," and seized the entire shipment for further verification and processing.

Before this incident, police had also discovered over 60 tons of raw or partially processed pig intestines. These items had a foul odor, were discolored, and had been frozen for 4-6 months in a cold storage facility belonging to Dung Phat Production and Trading Company Limited, located in Van Phuc village, Nam Phu commune.
