According to the investigation, five days prior, after using drugs, Vu rode his motorbike to Tan Duong commune to find someone for prostitution. He arranged with a 37-year-old woman to rent a room.

After the "transaction", Vu pretended to go outside to ask for the Wi-Fi password, claiming it was "to transfer money", then unexpectedly from behind, he used a towel to strangle the victim.

The woman lost consciousness, and he took her phone and 500,000 VND before attempting to flee on his motorbike.

However, the victim regained consciousness and cried for help. Nearby residents assisted in apprehending Vu and handed him over to the police.
