Hai Phong City Police reported that on 27/12/2025, Viet Khe Commune Police received a report from residents regarding the unusual death of a 39-year-old woman at her home in Lai Xuan 11 village, Viet Khe commune, Hai Phong City. Her husband, 43-year-old Nguyen Minh Tuan, was found unconscious next to her, foaming at the mouth, with multiple injuries on his left leg, showing signs of poisoning.

His family then hospitalized Tuan for emergency treatment.

Following an investigation spanning over one month, authorities identified Tuan as the suspect in his wife's murder.

Tuan confessed that on the night of 26/12/2025, he and his wife had an argument. In a moment of lacking self-control, he used a blanket to choke and restrain her, causing her to suffocate.

After his wife's death, he went to the garden behind the house, where he was bitten by a venomous snake. He managed to crawl back into the house before losing consciousness.

Hai Phong City Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
