According to the indictment, due to frequent marital conflicts, Tang's wife repeatedly visited Pham Quoc Luan, 31, to confide in him, which led to a romantic relationship. In early 3/2025, the woman left home to live with Luan, but later returned to her husband.
Subsequently, Luan repeatedly came to Tang's house, causing arguments and conflicts between the two men. On the evening of 23/6/2025, Luan rode his motorcycle to Tang's house, carrying a three-section staff, revving the engine, shouting, and making threats.
Enraged, Tang grabbed a kitchen knife and pursued him. While fleeing, Luan collided with another vehicle and fell onto the road. Tang rushed forward, striking Luan multiple times in vital areas, causing the victim to die at the scene. He then threw the knife into a pond and left.
About two hours later, Ngo Van Tang surrendered to the commune police.
