Around 10 PM that night, while his parents were away in Ho Chi Minh City for a medical check-up and two siblings were asleep, Dang called his uncle to carry out the plan. The two ransacked Dang's parents' bedroom, taking two mobile phones, gold jewelry, and cash, with a total value of approximately 900 million dong. His maternal uncle kept the stolen items.
The following morning, Dang's mother returned home, discovered the lost property, and promptly reported the theft to police.
During questioning, Dang initially denied involvement but later confessed to his actions.
