Universal City, Texas authorities announced on 30/5 that Alyssa Canul, 17, faces two aggravated robbery charges and an additional charge of tampering with physical evidence. She is suspected of conspiring with her boyfriend, Joseph Anthony Aguilar, 17, who was arrested earlier this week. The couple recently moved to the area.

The pair is accused of luring young men from online dating websites, then robbing and assaulting them. In one incident, a victim was pistol-whipped. In another, a 15-year-old boy was shot four times but fortunately survived.

According to authorities, Alyssa's role was to ensnare young men she met online and lure them into a trap. She invited the first victim, a 15-year-old, to a park bench before Aguilar attacked him and took his money.

In the second incident, another 15-year-old boy came to a city park to meet Alyssa on the same bench used in the first robbery. Alyssa then lured the boy to her boyfriend's apartment, about 800 meters away. As they approached, Aguilar shouted loudly and appeared before the teenager while loading a gun. When the victim tried to flee, Aguilar shot him 4 times and stole all his belongings.

The boy managed to reach a nearby coffee shop, where people called 911. He was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators said they intercepted Alyssa on the phone with her boyfriend, telling him she had disposed of the gun used in the robberies.

On Friday, Alyssa was arrested and held at the Bexar County Adult Detention Center. Her boyfriend faces two counts of aggravated armed robbery.
