TikTok channel owner Phu Tu indicted for disturbing court proceedings

Vu Hoang Phu, owner of the TikTok channel Phu Tu, is accused of disturbing court proceedings by hitting a defendant in a criminal case with a photo frame.

According to investigators, Phu is a Buddhist monk known by his dharma name Thich Minh Vuong. He also owns the TikTok channel Phu Tu, which has about 1,2 million followers. Phu is a person with significant online influence; however, his limited legal awareness led to uncontrolled behavior.

On 12/8/2025, during the trial of defendant Luu Quang Trung at the Dong Nai Provincial People's Court, Phu, a relative of the victim, used a photo frame to strike the defendant as police escorted him from the courtroom. This incident disrupted the trial, hindering court activities and undermining the court's dignity.

At the investigative agency, Phu reportedly confessed sincerely and admitted his illegal actions.
