On 23/9, the Quang Tri Provincial Police Investigation Agency indicted Ngo Chi Thanh, 20, residing in Tuyen Phu commune, for robbery.

Around 2 PM on 22/9, Thanh and the 18-year-old girl, having discovered an 85-year-old woman was home alone in Dong Hoi ward, broke in. Thanh allegedly gagged and hit the homeowner.

The pair stole a gold ring, a phone, and cash, totaling nearly 14 million VND, before escaping.

Upon arrest, the two suspects stated they committed the robbery because they could not pay their room rent on time.

The Quang Tri Provincial Police Investigation Agency is continuing to clarify the role of the 18-year-old girl who accompanied Thanh.
