The 25-year-old nurse in San Diego said she was initially hesitant to express her feelings, doubting her own emotions. But Edgar obtained her phone number from friends and initiated contact.
"After a few months of talking, I felt his sincerity and wanted to be near him, to care for him more," Diana said.
They officially began dating after a year of knowing each other.
However, when their relationship became public, Diana's family was shocked. Her mother expressed disappointment, and while her father remained silent, his disapproval was evident. "They let me make my own decisions, but they always advise me to be careful in this relationship," the 25-year-old said.
Diana's friends were also surprised when they learned Edgar's real age. However, after meeting and talking with him, most of them grew fond of him.
Despite the significant age gap, Diana finds Edgar youthful, humorous, and physically fit. She often sees him skydiving, skiing, hiking, and working out at the gym. Every two months, they travel together to create lasting memories.
"He always wishes he were younger to be worthy of marrying me. I told him I agree to marry him for who he is now," Diana said.

In late July, their relationship faced significant online criticism after Diana shared intimate moments on social media. Comments ranged from "disturbing and disgusting" to harsher remarks like "this should be banned" and "I hope she dies before him."
While Diana had anticipated some backlash and developed coping mechanisms, the situation escalated. "I'm truly afraid of losing him. He's a wonderful person and always makes me happy. I hope our love will soon break down these prejudices," the 25-year-old nurse said.
