3P monitor keeps pace with CGM technology growth

Updating blood glucose levels every three minutes, and operating in Vietnamese, the 3P continuous glucose monitor (CGM) is gaining increasing interest from diabetes patients, their relatives, and doctors in Vietnam.

Applying technology in healthcare, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology is becoming increasingly popular in diabetes management. A Market Growth Reports study, published in late 12/2025, indicated that in 2023, over 45 million CGM devices were used globally, with approximately 18 million in North America, 10 million in Europe, and 7 million in Asia-Pacific. The global CGM market size reached 7.9 billion USD in 2024, is projected to reach 11.5 billion USD in 2026, and is expected to hit about 63.4 billion USD by 2035, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20.6% during the 2026-2035 period.

The report also highlighted CGM's transformative impact on diabetes management in recent years. A recent survey recorded that 85% of users reported significant improvement in blood glucose control within the first 30 days of use. With sensor costs decreasing by 15% in the past two years, device accessibility has improved.

Aligning with global growth trends, Vietnamese individuals are showing increased interest in CGM. A growing number of patients are seeking smart blood glucose monitoring solutions to replace the traditional finger-prick method, which causes pain and inconvenience in daily life and work. Continuous monitoring helps users understand daily blood glucose fluctuations, minimize unpredictable changes, and be more proactive in their lifestyle, diet, and long-term disease management.

FPT brings CGM closer to Vietnamese people

Entering 2026, CGM is expected to develop strongly in Vietnam due to rising disease management needs and investment trends in healthcare technology. The Ministry of Health and industry associations have also published guidelines for implementing CGM in clinical practice, enhancing the effectiveness of disease management and helping patients better understand their blood glucose status.

FPT, one of Vietnam's leading technology corporations, is also a prominent brand bringing CGM technology to public healthcare in Vietnam. FPT developed the 3P continuous glucose monitor, which includes a sensor, a data transmitter, and the FPT MediCare mobile application with integrated features, allowing users to monitor glucose levels around the clock without finger pricks. The product, launched in late 2024, continuously measures every three minutes and displays intuitive blood glucose charts, helping users identify trends in blood glucose increases or decreases throughout the day. This enables them to proactively adjust their diet, exercise, and overall health management.

According to FPT, the 3P continuous glucose monitor has been adopted by many medical facilities and doctors as a monitoring tool, helping many patients achieve stable blood glucose control and improve their quality of life. Continuous monitoring data provides doctors with a more comprehensive view of daily blood glucose dynamics, moving beyond reliance on sporadic measurements.

Notably, for users, ranging from long-term diabetics to high-risk individuals and pregnant women with gestational diabetes, the 3P monitor brings noticeable changes to their daily lives. Many patients report no longer fearing nocturnal hypoglycemia or coma, while also experiencing improved sleep quality. Additionally, many have significantly reduced the frequency of finger pricks each day, from 4-6 times daily to a few times weekly for cross-referencing, simplifying their self-health monitoring.

Some users shared that by better understanding their body's blood glucose response after eating, exercising, or resting, they can adjust their lifestyle more flexibly. This allows them to avoid excessive dietary restrictions while still maintaining stable blood glucose control. For instance, Ms. Lan (Tan Thuan ward, TP HCM) previously eliminated sweets due to concerns about high blood glucose. Using the 3P monitor helped her understand how her body reacts to specific foods and portions. Now, she occasionally enjoys a small portion of cake at appropriate times, combined with suitable exercise, without significantly disrupting her blood glucose management. Experts suggest that correct understanding and eating reduce psychological pressure, fostering a more balanced and sustainable lifestyle for patients.

Towards proactive customer care

An FPT representative stated that the growth of CGM in recent years, both globally and in Vietnam, partly reflects the shift towards proactive healthcare rather than reactive treatment upon symptom onset. The availability of products like the 3P continuous glucose monitor in the domestic market provides patients with suitable technological options, contributing to an improved quality of life and effective long-term blood glucose control.

To expand access to modern glucose monitoring technology, the company announced it would continue to implement promotional programs in the coming period to support users with the costs of using the 3P continuous glucose monitor. This program aims to enable more patients to achieve stable blood glucose control, especially during periods prone to fluctuations, such as holidays like Tet.

Information regarding these promotional programs will be updated on the FPT MediCare fanpage and fptmedicare website. According to FPT, this is how the company actualizes its goal of long-term companionship with Vietnamese people, promoting the application of technology in proactive healthcare and more effective chronic disease management in daily life.
