Both Chui and his wife, Fiona Pang, work in the aviation industry. He chose the Boeing 747 because it was the first aircraft Pang worked on as a flight attendant. Chui also has a personal fondness for the aircraft, considering it a symbol of aviation's golden age.
"All passenger Boeing 747s have been retired, converted into cargo planes or reserved for heads of state. So this was truly a special opportunity," Chui explained.
The wedding flight was chartered through Aquiline International, the only operator of the passenger 747-400 in the UAE. Chui revealed that fuel alone cost around 20,000 USD per hour, excluding additional expenses like airport fees, catering, and decorations.

At the airport, Chui arranged for personalized welcome messages to be displayed on digital screens. Guests received specially designed boarding passes, access to a private lounge, and complimentary coffee.
Nearly 100 seats were removed from the plane to create space for the ceremony, a dance floor, and a unique in-flight venue. Guests danced and celebrated with the couple. Wedding-themed signs displayed messages like "Fasten your seatbelts... Forever" and "Love is in the air."
During the reception, Pang performed a song she wrote about the couple's shared passion for aviation.
"We're so happy to celebrate our biggest moment with the thing we are most passionate about," Pang shared.
The wedding concluded with the bride, groom, and guests filled with joy. Chui mentioned plans to celebrate future anniversaries on a plane, perhaps in five or ten years.
