This year, the race has drawn over 1,000 international runners from 43 countries, with over 200 athletes from Korea. In its fifth year, the event continues to be a highlight for expatriates living in Vietnam and tourists looking to experience Hanoi's unique nighttime atmosphere.
Participant demographics show a diverse age range. The 31-50 age group represents nearly 65% of runners, while the under 30 age group has grown to 24%.
The nighttime start promises a vibrant race atmosphere, offering cool weather and light traffic, which allows athletes to focus on their pace. Organizers confirm that the course, lighting system, and medical support will be optimized to ensure an excellent experience for all runners.
The entire route will have comprehensive medical supervision, with water, electrolyte, and fruit stations strategically placed to help athletes maintain hydration and reduce injury risks during the unique race conditions.

The course guides runners through Hanoi's iconic landmarks, including Ho Guom, the Grand Theater, Long Bien Bridge, and the Old Quarter, offering a unique nocturnal experience of the city's sights and sounds. Upon finishing, participants can download unlimited free photos from the organizers' system.
Global sports brand Puma is partnering with the event. Embracing the spirit of "Go Wild Hanoi", Puma encourages runners to embrace the joy of movement, viewing sports as a journey to release energy, connect with others, and express themselves, rather than solely focusing on performance.
Now in its fifth year, Hanoi Midnight has established a distinct identity within the VnExpress Marathon series, appealing to runners seeking an experience different from morning races. The participation of 10,000 athletes, including numerous international runners, marks a significant highlight for Hanoi's autumn-winter season and lays the groundwork for the event's future expansion.
Race kits for the VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight powered by Puma will be distributed at Tran Nhan Tong pedestrian street on 28/11 and 29/11. The main race officially commences at midnight on 30/11, with the 42km distance starting first, followed by the 21km, 10km, and 5km races.
