"I think Paris Saint-Germain is our toughest opponent, especially with their style of play," Kimmich said after the loss at Emirates on 26/11. "Arsenal is completely different. They rely heavily on set pieces and long balls. Against Paris Saint-Germain, it was more of a football match".
In the fourth round of the Champions League group stage, Bayern won 2-1 at Paris Saint-Germain, despite playing with ten men from the end of the first half. This result helped the Bavarians extend their winning streak across all competitions from the start of the season to 16 matches - a record in Europe's top five leagues: Bundesliga, Premier League, Ligue 1, La Liga, and Serie A.
In the fifth round on 26/11, Vincent Kompany's team lost 1-3 at Arsenal, ending their unbeaten run from the start of the season. Their rare bright spot in this match was a goal scored by 17-year-old talent Lennart Karl.

Kimmich admitted Bayern lacked courage and deserved to lose in London. "We weren't proactive enough and lacked options to build play," the German player said. "Arsenal is strong with long balls and duels. Bayern allowed the opponent too many corner kicks, and it was difficult to defend against all of them".
Despite the disappointment, Kimmich believes Bayern will gain valuable experience. "This was a very important match for us. I believe Bayern will learn a lot and improve in some aspects," the 30-year-old player stated. "We've had bad matches before, like against Barcelona last season, and always learned lessons. The important thing is to continue developing".
In this match, Bayern's primary attacking hope, Harry Kane, performed disappointingly. The English striker touched the ball 30 times, lost possession 8 times, and had no shots on goal. This performance contrasted with previous matches, where he scored 25 goals across all competitions.
"This is only the first defeat, there's no need to panic," Kane told TNT Sports. "But Bayern definitely needs to learn from this match. Arsenal won the first and second balls; they made good use of set pieces".

The 32-year-old striker believed the biggest issue was Bayern's inability to maintain rhythm and losing duels after halftime, also expressing belief they would meet Arsenal again in a later stage of the Champions League. "The first half was quite balanced, but in the second half, we lacked energy and lost too many one-on-one battles," he said.
Jonathan Tah denied that Bayern's physical condition declined due to a heavy schedule. "It's not about intensity. Bayern is used to playing at a high tempo every three days," the German defender said. "We lost due to details: the first goal from a set piece, the second due to losing possession in our own half, the third was a counter-attack also from a loss of possession. Besides those three situations, Arsenal was also sharper at many moments".
On 29/11, Bayern returns home to face St. Pauli in round 12 of the Bundesliga. The Bavarians are at the top of the league with an unbeaten record: 10 wins, one draw, 41 goals scored, and 8 goals conceded.
