"For those who don't know, I've just had a baby," Tszyu shared on Triple M Breakfast with Beau, Cat & Woodsy. "Together, my wife and I dried and powdered her placenta, then put it into capsules. I've been taking them recently."

The Australian boxer explained that he experimented with the capsules during sparring sessions and felt a surge of energy. "There's a noticeable difference between the days I take them and the days I don't. It's like having this crazy energy boost," he stated.
When asked if he also consumed his wife's breast milk, Tszyu replied, "Yes, I do." Host Woods chimed in, "They say breast milk is the best thing you can drink! It's so good for you, so pure." Tszyu added, "And it's delicious, too."
According to *Sportmail*, the practice of consuming the placenta, known as placentophagy, has roots in traditional medicine and is gaining popularity in Australia. The placenta contains essential nutrients and hormones that aid postpartum recovery. It's believed that consuming it can increase energy, support postpartum healing, and improve milk production.
An increasing number of Australian women are opting for placenta encapsulation, where the placenta is dehydrated, ground into powder, and placed in capsules. Women's rugby star Millie Elliott, expecting her first child in September, also shared her intention to encapsulate her own placenta.
While some studies suggest potential benefits, the medical community remains divided on the practice's true effectiveness.

Tszyu is preparing for his upcoming fight against Lulzim Ismaili on 20/8. The Australian boxer shared that the birth of his daughter, Curiosity, has been a source of inspiration during his training. "Just looking into her eyes is a beautiful and motivating thing," he expressed.
However, Tszyu admits that cutting weight before a fight is challenging, especially when watching food videos. He confessed, "I'll sit in bed at night and watch food videos for an hour. Anything, even crazy BBQs, terrible pizzas... I'll be like, 'Oh, that looks amazing.'"
Born in 1998 in Sydney, Nikita Tszyu is the son of boxing legend Kostya Tszyu and the younger brother of champion Tim Tszyu. In 11/2023, he won the Australian super welterweight title (66.68 to 69.85 kg).
In 2024, Tszyu defended his Australian title against Danilo Creati and later defeated Koen Mazoudier to claim the IBF Australasian and WBO Inter-Continental Super Welterweight titles, bringing his record to 10 wins, with 8 knockouts.
