The first half ended goalless. However, the second half was a completely different story, with Dortmund and Juventus playing out a thrilling eight-goal draw that lasted until the 96th minute.
Dortmund broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute when Karim Adeyemi drove through the middle and unleashed a low left-footed shot from 17 meters past goalkeeper Di Gregorio. Juventus responded immediately, and in the 63rd minute, Kenan Yildiz curled a right-footed shot from 23 meters into the top corner to level the score.

After the opening goals, both teams continued to attack. Players from both forward lines created excellent chances, while the defenses showed vulnerabilities. Felix Nmecha's 22-meter strike gave Dortmund a 2-1 lead in the 65th minute, but Dusan Vlahovic's angled shot leveled the score at 2-2 just two minutes later.
Towards the end of the match, Dortmund showed superior creativity and tactical flexibility. Right-back Yan Couto's close-range effort made it 3-2 in the 74th minute. Ten minutes later, Ramy Bensebaini converted a penalty to extend the lead to 4-2 after a Juventus player handled the ball in the box in the 84th minute.
Trailing by two goals with time running out, Juventus, who were joint top of Serie A with Napoli, showed the resilience of a top club. In the 94th minute, following a throw-in and a cross from the right wing, Vlahovic tapped in to reduce the deficit to 3-4. Two minutes later, the Serbian striker provided the assist for Lloyd Kelly's headed equalizer, making it 4-4.

Dortmund left with only a point and a sense of disappointment. Juventus, meanwhile, were relieved to avoid an embarrassing defeat against the team that beat them 3-1 in the 1997 Champions League final.
