In the Euro 2025 women's final on 27/7, Kelly scored the winning penalty, securing a 3-1 victory for England against Spain. ESPN reported that the 27-year-old's shot reached a speed of 110 km/h, surpassing Alexander Isak's 109 km/h strike, the fastest recorded in the previous Premier League season.
Kelly's most powerful shot, recorded at 110.79 km/h, occurred during England's match against Nigeria in the 2023 World Cup.
"Power is a habit," Kelly said. "I take my time, breathe, and trust in myself. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but I believe I won't miss two in a row."

Kelly's penalty kick secured England's successful defense of their Euro title. The 27-year-old forward and her teammates avenged their 1-0 loss to Spain in the 2023 World Cup final. With their second consecutive Euro championship, the English women's team will share a USD 2.2 million prize.
Kelly currently plays for Arsenal Women. In late May, she and Arsenal won the UEFA Champions League, defeating Barca 1-0 in the final.
The record for the fastest shot in football history still belongs to Ronny Heberson, who achieved a speed of 210 km/h during Sporting's 1-0 victory over Naval in Portugal in 2006.
