"We want to win two consecutive Champions League titles. That's been the goal from the very first match," Enrique said on 16/9 during the pre-match press conference at Parc des Princes.

Enrique just led PSG through a historic season. His three-forward system with sharp transitions helped PSG sweep the domestic Ligue 1, French Cup, and French Super Cup titles, followed by their first Champions League and UEFA Super Cup victories. Their only major loss was a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final.
Enrique emphasized that the first championship is always the hardest because players and fans don't believe it's possible. "Now, things are different," the Spanish coach said. "The young players want to repeat the achievement because they've experienced that feeling. We will maintain our ambition to continue making history."
In PSG's 2-0 victory against Lens in the 4th round of Ligue 1 last weekend, Enrique attracted attention by watching the first half from the stands, in the media area, and only moving to the bench in the second half.
The 55-year-old coach hinted at the possibility of doing the same against Atalanta. "From above, I saw many mistakes and made different adjustments in the second half," he explained. "I might start the next game from the stands, but I'll definitely be back in the technical area for the second half."

Captain Marquinhos, who attended the press conference with Enrique, expressed similar determination. "Competing in the Champions League is always special," the Brazilian defender said. "We experienced beautiful moments last season and now we have even more experience. To win again, the whole team must maintain the highest motivation and focus."
Marquinhos emphasized that PSG's current philosophy is to win every match, with fair competition for every position. The PSG captain also praised newcomer goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, who quickly demonstrated his ability and is expected to become the new mainstay in goal, replacing Gianluigi Donnarumma, who transferred to Man City.
