Green SM supports transportation for 5,000 runners at Can Gio race

Green SM supports green transportation for 5,000 runners participating in VnExpress marathon green paradise, spreading a sustainable lifestyle to the community.

On 1/5, the VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio officially kicked off, attracting 5,000 athletes and thousands of tourists during the holiday. The race featured a unique route "through the forest, alongside the sea" at Vinhomes Green Paradise. Green SM served as an official partner, providing an ecosystem of purely electric vehicles to support the participating community.

To assist athletes before and after the race, Green SM launched a promotional program from 29/4 to 1/5. This program offered a 20% discount, up to 50,000 dong, for each trip with a departure or destination point within the event area. The initiative applied across all service categories, including two-wheeled vehicles and car options, making transportation between accommodations and the starting line more convenient, particularly given the surge of visitors to Can Gio during the holiday.

Given the large scale of the race, Green SM had prepared vehicles and a team of drivers to ensure service capability during peak hours. This was especially important for athletes, as punctuality and maintaining a stable routine before the start time can directly impact their competitive condition. "The purely electric vehicle fleet operates smoothly, is odorless, and produces zero emissions. Using electric vehicles not only helps minimize environmental impact but also contributes to maintaining a fresh atmosphere for the entire event area", a representative said.

In addition to operational capabilities, technology also played a role in optimizing the experience. Through the Green SM app, passengers could actively track their route, estimate costs, and control their time, thereby minimizing unplanned issues.

Beyond transportation incentives, Green SM implemented a flexible lighting model. This involved mobilizing 30 electric cars, strategically positioned at intersections and other key areas along the race route to enhance visibility.

Held during the 30/4-1/5 holiday, the VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio stood out as a unique race in Ho Chi Minh City. Its route, which combined mangrove forests with coastal sections, not only presented a physical challenge but also offered a distinct experience. Participants could compete while enjoying a rare, fresh ecological space near a major urban center. On this occasion, athletes also had the opportunity to enjoy local cuisine, attend music festivals, and watch celebratory fireworks right in the event area.
