This year's windbreaker is crafted from premium, lightweight, water-resistant, and windproof synthetic fiber, allowing for comfortable movement. Its streamlined, close-fitting design ensures flexibility during activities. The jacket's chest displays the marathon logo and sponsor branding, while the back prominently features "Finisher 42.195 KM" alongside the Vietnamese flag. The organizers explained that this detail emphasizes the significance of completing the marathon and commemorates the runners' achievement in Hanoi.

The color shift aims to create a fresh look befitting Hanoi's nighttime ambiance. The organizers explained that turquoise represents renewal, while white evokes elegance, aligning with the image of the capital city as a "city of peace," and appealing to a broader range of runners.
More than a souvenir, the finisher jacket symbolizes the runners' dedication. In other VnExpress Marathons, finishers of the 42km and 21km races typically receive T-shirts or singlets. The Hanoi Midnight Marathon uniquely offers a windbreaker, considering Hanoi's average temperature of 16-20 degrees Celsius in late November.
"The jacket helps runners stay warm after crossing the finish line and can be used for everyday activities," a marathon representative emphasized.
Nguyen Minh Hoang, a three-time Hanoi Midnight marathon finisher, shared that he still uses his jackets from previous years for winter runs. He praised this year's turquoise color for its versatility and calming effect, fitting the Hanoi night setting.
First held in 2020, the VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight is the capital's only large-scale night race. Starting at midnight, unlike other early morning races, runners navigate a course past iconic landmarks like Hoan Kiem Lake, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and Nhat Tan Bridge. This year's event on 30/11 is expected to attract tens of thousands of domestic and international runners, creating a vibrant sporting atmosphere in Hanoi.
Registration is currently in the Regular phase, ending on 24/9. Entry fees are 680,000 VND for 5km, 980,000 VND for 10km, 1.18 million VND for 21km, and 1.38 million VND for 42km. Prices will increase in the subsequent Late registration phase. Interested runners can register online through the official VnExpress Marathon system to secure their participation and receive the full race kit.
