Head coach Kim Sang-sik holds press conference before SEA Games 33 opening match

U22 Vietnam head coach Kim Sang-sik provides assessment ahead of the Laos clash in group B opening round of SEA Games 33, this afternoon 2/12.

The pre-match press conference is scheduled for 13:00 at the Rajamangala Stadium press room in Bangkok, which will also serve as the venue for tomorrow's match.

Head coach Kim Sang-sik and his team arrived in Thailand yesterday, 1/12. They held a training session at the RBAC University football field. The U22 Vietnam national team will not be permitted to train on the Rajamangala Stadium pitch. This measure ensures the pitch quality is preserved for the upcoming group A, group B, semifinal, and final matches.

Historically, Vietnam boasts a strong record against Laos in the SEA Games group stage, having won all 10 previous encounters.

The men's football tournament at SEA Games 33 features 9 national teams. For the first time, the competition is divided into three groups. Teams will compete in a single round-robin format within their respective groups. The three group winners and the one best second-placed team will then advance to the semifinals.
