With a relaxed mindset and superior skill, Hoang 'Sao' dominated the game, securing a 9-4 victory over his younger opponent. This marks Hoang 'Sao''s seventh national 9-ball billiards championship.

Hoang 'Sao', whose real name is Duong Quoc Hoang, was born in 1987 in Quang Ninh. At the age of 23, he left his family to move to TP HCM to pursue his career, working at billiards tables. While working, Hoang 'Sao' began playing billiards, developed his talent, and became Vietnam's number one pool player for many consecutive years.
In 2024, he achieved a historic victory in the Scottish Open 9-ball pool final. The 39-year-old player also won the Reyes Cup in 2024 and 2026 with the Asian team, and claimed titles at many world-class tournaments, including the 2026 Premier League Pool.
The final round of the 2026 National Billiards & Snooker Clubs Championship took place from 19-28/6 in TP HCM. The tournament attracted 700 players nationwide competing in various categories: men's three-cushion carom singles, men's one-cushion carom singles, men's english billiard singles, men's 6-red snooker singles, men's 9-ball pool singles, men's 10-ball pool singles, women's 9-ball pool singles, and women's three-cushion carom singles.
In the women's three-cushion carom event, player Nguyen Duc Yen Sinh (TP HCM) won the championship, defeating fellow TP HCM player Hua Thao Huyen 25-7 after nine innings.
Player Nguyen Nhu Le (TP HCM) secured the men's one-cushion carom title by beating Le Minh Cuong (Ha Noi) with a score of 100-52.
The men's three-cushion carom event is currently in the group stage matches.
