Anna Kalinskaya dated Sinner during his 2024 US Open victory. However, they broke up before Sinner revealed he had a new girlfriend during this year's US Open.

In an interview in the US this week, Kalinskaya said she received many date requests from male colleagues. Rune stood out, having asked her out 10 times. "However, I know he asked out many other female players. Maybe he's too arrogant, or desperate," Kalinskaya said.

According to the world number 34 female player, Rune deserved to be rejected for his disrespectful behavior. The Danish player later posted on X claiming Kalinskaya had misinterpreted his comments. "Perhaps cultural differences led Anna to think my comments on her personal page were date invitations. If I wanted a date, I would ask directly," Rune wrote.

Kalinskaya is 5 years older than Rune and previously dated Nick Kyrgios. The Australian player once mocked Sinner's relationship with Kalinskaya, calling it a "double fault."

At the recent US Open, Kalinskaya lost to Iga Swiatek in the third round. She sobbed after the defeat despite having a substantial early lead. According to Kalinskaya, it's difficult for players to date each other because everyone is ambitious. "I feel male players are too obsessed with tennis," said the Russian player, who moved to the US at 14. "They are quite unusual, a bit depressed, lacking optimism. If they lose or don't achieve their goals, their world seems to collapse."

Italian media reported that Sinner is currently dating someone outside of professional tennis. Although Sinner keeps the details private, Italian newspapers suggest it's Danish model Laila Hassanovic. Other sources claim he is in a relationship with American model Brooks Nader, who was seen in the stands during the Sinner-Alcaraz US Open final on 7/9.
