Approximately 5,000 runners participated in the Galaxy Run at Sala urban area (TP Thu Duc) on the morning of 21/6. Samsung Vietnam and VnExpress Marathon organized the race, aiming to encourage the community to adopt an active lifestyle, starting with small daily habit changes.
The event focused on promoting exercise and sustainable health care, not emphasizing achievement. This ethos guides Samsung's approach with the Galaxy Watch8 series – a smartwatch line serving as an AI health assistant, supporting users in daily activities and training.

Before the start, the Galaxy Watch8 series experience zone drew many participants. Runners learned about health tracking features and assessed their physical condition before the race.
Users could check metrics such as heart rate, sleep quality, and body energy levels. Many consider this data important for planning training and post-exercise recovery. The Galaxy Watch8 series features a new-generation bioactive sensor and personalized health data analysis tools, helping users better understand their physical condition.

Sports physician Pham Minh Tien, one of the first to experience the device, noted his particular interest in three metrics: heart rate, sleep quality, and energy score. He stated that regularly monitoring this data helps individuals understand their current health status, enabling them to adjust training intensity and lifestyle habits accordingly.
This data benefits athletes and beginners alike. According to Feddy Pham, founder of Sunday Running Club, many struggle to build exercise habits due to uncertainty about their body's state or where to begin. A wrist-worn health tracking tool helps them feel more confident in their self-care journey.
On the race track, the Galaxy Watch8 series continued as a runner's companion. The device recorded real-time heart rate, distance, speed, and calories burned during the activity. Continuous data updates allowed users to proactively adjust their pace to match their physical condition, preventing overtraining.

Beyond supporting during exercise, the Galaxy Watch8 series also provides analyses for post-workout recovery. Samsung stated that the device's AI platform synthesizes data from multiple health metrics to offer personalized suggestions, fostering a scientific and sustainable active lifestyle.
An organizing committee representative stated that from the experience zone to the Galaxy Run track, the Galaxy Watch8 series became a tool helping users better understand their bodies, beyond just an activity tracking device.
"This is how Samsung spreads the race's 'Continuing every step forward' spirit, encouraging everyone to start their health journey with small but consistent daily changes," a unit representative said.
