Bayern dominated, leading 2-0 after 60 minutes and seemingly on course for a comfortable victory. In the 15th minute, Kane opened the scoring from the penalty spot, marking his 90th goal in his 99th appearance for Bayern. The English striker has successfully converted all 22 of his penalties for the "Bavarians".
In the 51st minute, Michael Olise's one-touch left-footed shot into the near corner doubled the lead. It was the English winger's first goal in his third German Cup appearance.
However, an unexpected turn of events occurred in the 64th and 70th minutes. Striker Fatih Kaya scored twice in quick succession, bringing Wehen Wiesbaden level and igniting the BRITA-Arena crowd.
Their joy was short-lived, however, as in the fourth minute of stoppage time, Josip Stanisic crossed from the left wing into the penalty area, where Kane's powerful header sealed a dramatic 3-2 win.
"It was a crazy game," the 32-year-old striker said after the match. "Luckily, we scored in the last minute. We got the job done, that's the most important thing, but there's a lot to improve on."

Coach Vincent Kompany admitted his team’s performance was not perfect but praised their composure in creating chances and securing a deserved win. Midfielder Joshua Kimmich believed Bayern should have finished the game earlier but expressed satisfaction with the team's ability to maintain composure in the final minutes.
On the other side, Wehen Wiesbaden's coach, Nils Doring, and his players expressed their disappointment at being just minutes away from advancing but remained proud of their performance against the reigning Bundesliga champions.
On 30/7, Bayern will visit Augsburg in the second round of the Bundesliga.
