On 22/6, Garnacho posted holiday photos from Ibiza, Spain. One picture showed the Argentinian forward wearing a rival Aston Villa shirt. The shirt bore the name of Marcus Rashford, the player Man Utd loaned to Aston Villa for the latter half of the 2024-2025 season.

Garnacho's action immediately angered Man Utd fans, leading to a barrage of abusive comments on social media platforms like X and Instagram. Many fans claimed the Argentinian star crossed the line of professional conduct.
"Wearing another Premier League club's shirt is crazy and shows you're not mentally ready for the next level," one fan wrote, "You've lost the respect of most Man Utd fans, especially those who supported you".
Many others urged Garnacho to leave Man Utd. They believe he will lose his place even if he stays.
"Leave with Rashford. Your attitude is the reason why coach Amorim doesn't want you anymore," another fan wrote.
Garnacho rose through the Man Utd academy. Over four seasons, he has played 144 matches and scored 26 goals, including 58 matches and 11 goals last season.
However, the 20-year-old forward has never fully met expectations, and in recent months, his attitude towards coach Amorim has caused friction. On 21/5, Garnacho publicly expressed his disappointment at being benched for over 70 minutes in the Europa League final loss (0-1) against Tottenham.
According to British media, the relationship between Garnacho and Amorim has completely broken down. The Portuguese coach has reportedly told the Argentinian forward to find a new club.
Currently, Garnacho is one of four wingers Man Utd are trying to sell, alongside Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho. However, actively signaling the sale of so many players is putting Man Utd in a difficult position. Many clubs seem to be waiting until the end of the transfer window to force Man Utd to lower their asking prices. If they cannot sell these players, the 15th-placed team in last season's Premier League will not be able to generate funds for new signings.
