The financial report released on 17/9 showed Man Utd's revenue slightly increased by 0.7% compared to the same period last year, despite the team finishing 15th in the Premier League – their lowest position in 51 years. Operating losses also decreased from $87 million to $23 million.

A major factor contributing to the club's revenue growth was the 5-year shirt sponsorship deal with Snapdragon, considered the most valuable in the sports world. This led to record commercial revenue of $416 million and matchday revenue of $200 million.
However, broadcasting revenue decreased by $61 million to $216 million due to the team's participation in the Europa League instead of the Champions League.
Under the management of co-owner Jim Ratcliffe, Man Utd has implemented several cost-cutting measures. Total operating expenses decreased by 4.5%, while personnel costs were reduced by 14.1% – equivalent to $64 million – to $391 million.
Over 250 employees at Old Trafford lost their jobs during the staff cuts last year. The club also spent $46 million on severance packages, including the dismissal of manager Erik ten Hag and his staff.
Last year, Ratcliffe warned that Man Utd could face bankruptcy by Christmas without decisive action. Meanwhile, CEO Omar Berrada considered these steps necessary for the club's stability and sustainable development.
"We are working to improve the club in all aspects," Berrada said. "The record revenue during a difficult year demonstrates Man Utd's resilience. With the cost reduction program, we expect financial performance to improve significantly, thereby supporting our most important goal: success on the pitch".
Man Utd projects revenue between $800 million and $825 million for the 2025-2026 financial year, despite the club's first absence from European competition since the 2014-2015 season.

Man Utd has had a poor start to the season, with only one win in the first four rounds, placing them 14th in the Premier League. The "Red Devils" also suffered a shock defeat to fourth-tier club Grimsby Town in the second round of the League Cup.
However, Man Utd's management maintains its stance against hasty decisions and continues to place its trust in manager Ruben Amorim. They believe in Amorim's long-term project and aim to avoid repeating the cycle of frequent managerial changes over the past 12 years since Alex Ferguson's retirement.
