Kylian Mbappe has a prolific scoring record in the Champions League, with 63 goals to his name, 56% of which have been scored in away matches. This season, he has contributed significantly to Real's offense, netting 21 of their 39 goals across all competitions, accounting for 54% of the team's total. The French star was the driving force behind Real's win at Karaiskakis Stadium on 26/11.

Real initially fell behind in the 8th minute to a spectacular long-range strike from Portuguese midfielder Chiquinho. However, Mbappe quickly turned the tide, scoring three consecutive goals in a span of just 6 minutes and 42 seconds. His scoring spree began in the 22nd minute when Vinicius Junior received the ball in midfield near the left touchline. The Brazilian winger used the outside of his foot to flick the ball through for Mbappe, who then broke through one-on-one and slotted it between the goalkeeper's legs.
Two minutes later, from a precise cross by midfielder Arda Guler from the right flank, Mbappe headed the ball down towards the far corner, giving the visitors a crucial lead. The French national team captain completed his hat-trick in the 29th minute, once again finding himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper after a long pass from midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. Olympiacos' offside trap failed, allowing Mbappe to easily curl the ball into the far corner, leaving goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis rooted to the spot.

This remarkable performance marks Mbappe's fifth career hat-trick in the Champions League, with three of these achieved while playing for Real. He now stands among an elite group of players, with only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi (both with 8 hat-tricks) and Robert Lewandowski (6 hat-tricks) having scored more hat-tricks in the competition.
While impressive, Mbappe's hat-trick was not the fastest in Champions League history. That record belongs to Mohamed Salah, who scored three goals in 6 minutes and 12 seconds for Liverpool against Rangers on 12/10/2022. The fastest hat-trick in Europe's top national leagues was achieved by Sadio Mane, a former Liverpool player, who scored in 2 minutes and 56 seconds for Southampton in a victory over Aston Villa in 5/2015.
Mbappe's scoring display continued into the second half, where he added his fourth goal in the 60th minute. Vinicius played a crucial role in this goal, skillfully dribbling past a defender on the left side of the penalty area before delivering a precise pass to his teammate, who tapped the ball into the far corner.
