Newcastle sells Isak to Liverpool for a Premier League record fee

Newcastle has agreed to let striker Alexandre Isak move to Liverpool on the final day of the summer transfer window for 175.5 million USD.

This transfer sets a new record for English football. The previous record was also set by Liverpool when they acquired German striker Florian Wirtz from Leverkusen on 10/6/2025 for a total fee of 170 million USD.

Isak will fly from Newcastle to Merseyside today, 1/9, to undergo a medical examination and sign a contract with Liverpool.
