On the afternoon of 13/1, Ninh Binh announced an agreement with Thanh Hoa for the transfer of three young players: Thai Son, Van Thuan, and Ngoc My. The deal, which became effective on 30/10/2025, was publicly revealed by Ninh Binh after U23 Vietnam secured progression from the group stage of U23 Asia 2026.

Of the three players, Thai Son is the most accomplished and experienced. He was a key young talent under coach Philippe Troussier. In the U23 Asia 2026 tournament, his contributions in midfield were significant. Thai Son's composure, ability to dictate play, and versatility in defense and attack made him central to Vietnam's strategy.
Forward Van Thuan and midfielder Ngoc My are promising creative talents. Van Thuan, a winger, boasts speed, agility, and technical skill. He notably scored a header that led to an own goal by a Kyrgyzstan defender, contributing to Vietnam's 2-1 victory in their second match.
Midfielder Ngoc My is known for his tenacious play and defensive contributions. "These talented young players have been trained and refined within a professional football environment," the club stated in its announcement today. "They align with the long-term development strategy Ninh Binh Club is pursuing."
Ninh Binh, a newcomer to the V-League 2025-2026 season, currently leads the league. After 11 rounds, they remain undefeated, accumulating 28 points from 8 wins and three draws. The addition of these three U23 players signals Ninh Binh's clear ambition to challenge for the championship title against other strong contenders.
