Philippines - Vietnam

Kick-off at 19h30. Vietnam aims for a record fifth consecutive SEA Games women's football championship against the Philippines in the final in Chonburi.

If Vietnam defeats the Philippines in the SEA Games 33 women's football final on the evening of 17/12, the team will extend its record to five consecutive gold medals. Vietnam is currently the most successful team in SEA Games women's football history, with eight championships, including four consecutive titles since 2017.

At this year's tournament in Thailand, Vietnam previously lost to the Philippines 0-1 in the group stage, with the decisive goal coming in the 90+4th minute. This defeat was a source of regret, as Vietnam dominated possession but failed to convert its chances. According to goalkeeper Kim Thanh, that loss helped the team learn a lesson in approaching matches and choosing a more suitable attacking strategy.

Vietnam advanced to the final in good physical condition after overcoming Indonesia in the semifinals. The players are ready for redemption. Meanwhile, the Philippines are making their first appearance in a SEA Games final, carrying significant momentum after defeating Thailand in extra time and a penalty shootout in their semifinal match.

The final will take place at 19h30 on 17/12 in Chonburi, Thailand.
