The mid-season transfer window has closed, with the Premier League's spending reaching approximately 486 million USD. This figure significantly surpassed the other four major European leagues: Serie A (261 million USD), Ligue 1 (111 million USD), Bundesliga (107 million USD), and La Liga (82 million USD).
The most expensive transfer saw forward Antoine Semenyo move from Bournemouth to Man City for around 88 million USD. Pep Guardiola's team also bolstered their defense by acquiring center-back Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace for 27 million USD.

Tottenham was among the most active clubs, recruiting midfielder Conor Gallagher for 44 million USD from Atletico Madrid and left-back Souza for 16,5 million USD from Santos. They also sold Brennan Johnson to fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace for over 40 million USD.
On the final day of the transfer window, Crystal Palace attracted attention by purchasing striker Strand Larsen from Wolves for nearly 55 million USD. Liverpool also completed the signing of Jeremy Jacquet for 82 million USD, though the 20-year-old French center-back is set to join Anfield in the summer.
However, English clubs showed some restraint compared to the January 2025 transfer window, with total spending decreasing from over 550 million USD to approximately 486 million USD. Conversely, revenue from player sales rose sharply, from 188 million USD to 315 million USD, resulting in the Premier League's net spend being around 171 million USD.

In Italy, numerous transfers occurred, but most were of lower value. Only two players exceeded the 22 million USD mark: Giacomo Raspadori, who moved from Atletico to Atalanta, and Robinio Vaz, transferring from Marseille to Roma. Lazio was the highest spender, securing Kenneth Taylor for approximately 18,5 million USD, Petar Ratkov for 14,3 million USD, and Adrian Przyborek for 5 million USD.
In La Liga, Real Madrid did not acquire any new players, while Barcelona signed Portuguese defender Joao Cancelo from Al Hilal. Germany's Bundesliga saw Bayern Munich and Dortmund largely inactive. RB Leipzig was an exception, recruiting young center-back Abdoul Kone for 18,7 million USD and loaning Brajan Gruda from Brighton.
Ligue 1 also remained relatively quiet, with PSG not reinforcing its first team. Lyon, however, made headlines with the loan signing of Endrick from Real Madrid.
Beyond Europe's top five leagues, Turkey (85 million USD) and Brazil (238 million USD) emerged as active markets. Turkey welcomed several stars, including Matteo Guendouzi to Fenerbahce, Noa Lang to Galatasaray, and potentially N'Golo Kante, while also experiencing a wave of player departures.
Brazilian clubs also spent heavily, notably Flamengo's acquisition of midfielder Lucas Paqueta from West Ham for approximately 46 million USD.
