The 2026 Asian Carom Billiards Championship will take place from 7-10/5 at Ho Xuan Huong Gymnasium in TP HCM. This prestigious tournament attracts Asia's elite players, including world number one and defending champion Cho Myung Woo, Heo Jung Han, and Kim Haeng Jik from Korea. As the host nation, Vietnam fields a strong contingent of its own prominent players, such as Tran Quyet Chien, Bao Phuong Vinh, Tran Thanh Luc, and Le Thanh Tien. Matches are scheduled to begin at 9 AM today, 7/5.
In the men's 3-cushion carom discipline, Tran Quyet Chien (world number 13) has been drawn into Group C. He will compete against veteran Korean player Choi Wan Young (world number 48), Takahashi Tomotaka of Japan, and Kim Jung Deok from Korea. Bao Phuong Vinh is placed in Group D alongside Umeda Ryuji of Japan and two Vietnamese compatriots, Nguyen Dinh Quoc and Nguyen Huu Thanh. World number one Cho Myung Woo leads Group A, where he will face Kang Ja In, Miyashita Takao, and Satoru.

The championship features four disciplines: men's 3-cushion carom, U22 men's 3-cushion carom, women's 3-cushion carom, and men's 1-cushion carom.
In the women's 3-cushion carom discipline, defending champion Heo Chae Won (Korea) is in Group A with Phung Kien Tuong, Fukao Noriko (Japan), and Yeom Hee Ju (Korea). Meanwhile, world number two female player Kim Ha Eun (Korea) shares Group D with Vietnam's Le Thi Ngoc Hue.
For the youth 3-cushion carom discipline, two Vietnamese talents, Nguyen Minh Tri and Huynh Ngoc Khac Huy, are grouped with defending champion Kim Do Hyun (Korea) and Jeong Min Gyo (Korea).
In the men's 1-cushion carom discipline, which follows a knockout format, defending champion Ho Hoang Hung will play Jang Sung Won (Korea). Other matchups include Pham Duy Thanh against Park Su Yeong (Korea), and Nguyen Cao Nhan Minh Quan facing Takahashi Tomotaka (Japan).
